Mat Quest — Privacy Policy

Mat Quest is a personal training tracker for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and a password, used only to create and sign in to your account.
• Training data you enter: training sessions, belt and stripe promotions, tournament entries and results, game plans, notes, and weigh-ins.
• Optional photos: podium photos you choose to attach to tournament results. Photos are compressed and stored with your account data. The app only accesses photos you explicitly pick.
• Profile details you provide: nickname, gym name, weight class, belt rank, and your chosen fighter character.

What we do NOT collect

• No location tracking.
• No contacts, microphone, or camera access.
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad networks.
• No analytics profiling. Your data is not sold or shared with anyone.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), protected by authentication rules so that only your signed-in account can read or write your own data. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Notifications

Training reminders are scheduled locally on your device on the days and time you choose. They never leave your phone, and you can turn them off anytime in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all of your data at any time from inside the app: ME tab → DELETE ACCOUNT. This immediately and permanently erases your profile, training history, tournaments, photos, medals, and weigh-ins, and removes your login. Deletion cannot be undone.

Children

Mat Quest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
